Queen Latifah is your host yet again for the 2011 37th Annual People's Choice Awards, and is the feature in PARADE Magazine. We've got a few pieces of the interview with the Queen of hosting when you read on in the article "The Education of Queen Latifah".....
Where Queen hopes to be in 10 years:
On cruise control, with a couple of kids under my belt, Queen Latifah shared. Its in the Lords hands.??
On growing up in Jersey:
Theres something about growing up in New Jersey that prepares you for whatever you might encounter around the world. Were not afraid to go places. I met Mike The Situation because we were both on Jay Leno. He lives maybe 15 minutes from me. He was like, If you ever get a flat tire, call me and Ill hook you up. I love Jersey.
?On giving advice to future royal Kate Middleton:
Make sure you have a sanctuary, because everybody in the world is going to be in your business. He happened to be born a prince; you happened to go to college and meet him. Youre two kids who fell in love. I just hope you have a happy life. And dont take anything personally.
Christina Milian is on the cover of the February issue of Latina Magazine that soon hits the news stands, this is a very candid interview about the marriage, the cheating and the divorce. Also, some behind the scenes footage of the photo shoot where you'll see her in action as a celeb/new mom. Here are a few snippets of the interview, because I'm sure you all want to know what happen in less than a year that she didn't already see coming? I'm sure we'll catch a lot of heat for that statement but seriously they got married after a few months of dating and were divorced before they're first anniversary, I'm just sayin "Where Day Do Dat At?"
The failure of her marriage to The Dream:
No matter what, you cant change who you are. I know that now. I tried to be someone I wasnt because I wanted my marriage to work. But ultimately, if its not working, its not working.
On the cheating scandal that was broadcast on the Internet:
I didnt know anything. But looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it.
The lessons learned:
I learned a lot about myself this year. I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am and what I will accept for myself and my daughter.
On becoming a mom:
Being a new mother definitely makes me feel so much sexier than ever before. Theres a certain responsibility that I carry being a mom that makes me feel very confident and so blessed. Being a mom is the best thing thats ever happened to me.
So just whats next:
I feel brand new. Ive been to hell and back, but I survived. Im stronger for it and now Im ready for the next phase of my life.
