Neilson Sound Scan has certified "Pink Friday" platinum and after just six weeks of it's release date. In a recent interview with Sway of MTV News they discussed her success Minaj told Sway,
"A part of me expected it, because I wanted it so bad, but I never saw all of this," the MC said. "You know, I never would've imagined that I would've signed to [Lil] Wayne, number one."
Nicki's first album was released the same day as Kanye West "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" November 22, 2010 and he has only out sold her by 30,000 units due to his head start in the first week of album sales since then Minaj has out sold him in the remaining 5 weeks. Wow, we've got more of the normal looking Nicki returning from the long holiday party weekend, who is just as glamorous as the other personalities and characters she portrays.
