Imagine you are David Carr today. You did everything you could to ensure that your team would land Reggie Bush in the 2006 NFL Draft. You even pulled a Al Czervik in the season finale to ensure that your competitive nature wouldn't get the best of you, and lead you to a victory over San Francisco. Then Houston-native and Texas hero Vince Young declared himself eligible for the 2006 NFL Draft.
Bummer.
There is no chance the Texans pass on Young. No chance. The Texans can now build on a team with Young and running back Dom Davis. Hopefully Carr will find Arizona far more hospitable.
Young said that he came to the decision to turn pro after a meeting with his mother and pastor. Who is his pastor, Jerry Falwell? Oral Roberts? Maybe his pastor was told he would be recalled to heaven if Young didnt turn pro.
But seriously, there is no reason to believe that Young wont have a successful career as all running quarterbacks such as Fran Tarkington, Randal Cunningham, and Mike Vick. And with so many scrambling quarterbacks winning Super Bowls recently, Young should have the Texans in the big game in no time. Who should the Texans take first? Talk about it in the Hater Nation Forums.
