Keep Walking, Tough Guy

Is there a bigger collection of crybabies than the Oakland A's? Outside of Mark Kotsay, who of course, doesn't fit the mold of your typical Oakland Whiner. But the club seems to continue to stack the team full of female dogs and kitty cats like Jason Kendall, Nick Swisher and third base coach Ron Jackson among others.

Jay Payton was the latest to embarrass himself on Wednesday. Payton was nicked in the hand when he swung at a Scot Shields offering and fouled off the ball. Payton was awarded first (although TV replays made it look like it hit the bat), while making like Red Foxx and asking manager Ken Macha to hold him back.

Is Lamaze coach part of Macha's job description?

This was the second time the A's have tried to scuffle with the Angels. Kendall charged the mound earlier this year when John Lackey told him to, Put your [kitty-cat] pad out there again and see what happens, [female dog]. Jackson tried to choke Lackey out in the pile up like he was Frank Trigg or something.

And Swisher is just a [expletive] mascot.

That makes losing two of three to these clowns painful. And it's a good thing the Angels didn't get an extra bat, because that would have made no difference in these one-run games.
