Tiki Barber�s real reason for retirement was exposed�it was his wife, Yoko. And you thought Rocky Balboa�s wife was kind of a buzz kill. Just wait until Tiki�s buddy is killed in a football game and he has to go to Russia to play in a game, only to comeback to America and find that his crooked accountant stole all of his money and Barber has to move back to Roanoke? Then what is she going to do?

Actually, what is the big deal here? Retire already. It is hard to believe that somebody would make the Brett Favre retirement soap opera seem less media whorish by comparison.

The funniest thing in all of this; is there anybody who doesn�t think the Giants would be better off with Brandon Jacobs as the feature back? It seems like the Giants are tanking the season by keeping Jacobs on the sidelines and using Barber exclusively. Not that Barber is bad, but why not use your best player?

Jacobs is a huge back and maybe his career would be shortened if he was an every-down back. But do you think that Broncos care that Terrell Davis� career was cut short because he was overworked? Hardly. But hey Giants, keep Jacobs on the bench. And maybe next year you can find another scat back to take all of the reps.
