MJB Blonde done right

As I continue my trade as a Licensed Hairstylist the more and more I have come to know that color is a major factor in this business. Client's want to cover grey, add a little pizazz with highlights, look like their favorite celebrity or plain and simply want a change. I love color its fun it exciting to create new looks for myself and my clients, however, I would like to address the absence of tonal value in color selections. Tonal value is basically which color shades look best on you from make-up to clothes and it also includes hair color.

Many times I see women with Blonde that makes them look yellow or red that creates a green tone in the skin and instead of a beautiful color being on display the person's skin tone is all anyone is looking at. Often times colors make you look darker or lighter which could be a negative if that wasn't the goal in getting the color in the first place. One entertainer's stylist has mastered the art of perfectly matching the skin tone and creating beautiful colors , as well as, making her look even more beautiful. That person is Mary J Blige, over the years we've seen her transform as a woman and artist, we've also watched her style transform. Mary has always been a blonde, but I'm most certain she listens to her stylist and allows that person to do their job to give her the color thats right for her. Yes, you may want that Beyonce blonde, or Rihanna red but will it be good to your skin tone as it is to theirs?
