Salon Weekly: So just where do we get our Black Girls Rock T-shirt?

While we were at work today a discussion arose about the awards coming up on BET called "Black Girls Rock!" We all wanted a t-shirt and I spent the majority of the morning searching for the shirt after all we are "Black Girls," and we ROCK. So I went on a quest to find the shirt and went on to BET.com at that point I discovered that the title and the phrase didn't originate from BET they got it from and partnered up with Beverly Bond, because I had never heard that name I wanted to know more. Who was she and where did she come from. Also what exactly is the Black Girls Rock movement? on BET.com they posted the following:

Since 2006, BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to the healthy development of young women and girls. BLACK GIRLS ROCK!
