The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible emphasizes the new design language at BMW and the high-end convertible brings out to the market a fresh, sleek, svelte and quite sporty look.
The car continues to feature the soft top convertible seen in the previous generation, most likely a weight saving that BMW took into consideration since the top model 650i runs to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds.
In the US, the 650i Convertible will arrive in Spring 2011, followed later that year by the 640i. The top model is powered by the 4.4-liter V-8 engine producing 400 hp between 5,500 and 6,400 rpm and 450 lb-ft torque between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. The engine is matted to a ZF 8-speed Sport Automatic gearbox or an optional 6-speed manual transmission.
