With the release of the ever highly growing anticipated official Freshman album of Nicki Minaj's "PINK Friday" drawing near; It's not the only thing that will be flying off of the selves this with her name on it. The album drops this Tuesday, November 22, 2010, and while we will be listening and critiquing the lyrics and sounds; MAC has announced it will be producing and retailing a new lipstick in Minaj's honor named so eloquently after her album PINK Friday 4. It is predicted to sell in the millions and we most certainly agree.
Last week on the Wendy Williams, Nicki visited and performed her hit single 'Right Thru Me' to a live studio audience and during the interview Wendy asked about the lip color and unveiled it during the show. PINK Friday 4 is a mixture of two very popular MAC Cosmetic pink lipsticks. The mixture is made up of MAC Pink Nouveau Satin and MAC Girl About Town Amplified Creme. The color will be released as a limited edition available online only, the company is showcasing the lipstick for 4 consecutive fridays beginning November 26, 2010.
While I'm aware that the online only is a brilliant idea seeing how large Nicki Minaj's fan base is I wonder if sales will be effected since it isn't available for sampling. However, I'm sure the Barbz won't care if the shade matches their skin tone or not we will not only see more of Nicki after tuesday but we will also be seeing her lip color on every pair of Barz's lips, maybe even some Ken Barbz.
