My Review: For Colored Girls
I've been reading a lot of comments, reviews and opinions on the movie Tyler Perry just released entitled "For Colored Girls." I thought better yet I knew that for 1 days worth of showing and so much passion and disdain it was worth seeing for myself. As I sit here writing relieved is the emotion that is overwhelming me. I'm relived I saw the movie for myself, and that it was so good.
We all, everyone on earth, hold a different perspective on life based on experience and circumstance. With that being said I was satisfied with the movie I think it was real, truthful, hurtful, embarrassing, realistic, daring, frightening and so much more to say the least for me personally because it rang so true. The second reason was the fact that the variety of casted female actors were each in her own right in different times and places in her own life, but their paths were seamlessly intertwined and still crossed in eye opening ways. It made me wonder how I treat those that look like me with no concern for what was going on in her personal life the things that we don't see. It made me wonder how someone could treat me with out knowing what was going on in my personal life as well, but as women we should be so easily identifiable to each other the things we go through and have been through but no correlation is ever made. It opened my eyes to so much, and widened them to what I already knew. If you haven't already go see this movie for yourself, for your soul and most importantly for your own opinion.
For those of you who already have, "My love tries to hard to be Christ like to be thrown back in my face." What is yours? Please leave comments.
