Cover 2 Cover...Janet Jackson
Ms. Jackson is on the cover of December's Health Magazine, The cover I must say is a flawless picture of the singer/actress. We saw her amazing figure in the latest movie she stared in by Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls." The red dress looks like it was made especially for her I love the look very clean and sexy. It took me a while but after the movie I'm used to seeing her with short hair and it fits her well. I've noticed a trend in being accessory-less lately and I do enjoy the crispness in the lack of flair. In the interview with the talented Janet Jackson she reveals the image issue she struggled with as a child actor and choosing between her two dearest loves; singing and acting. Here's a few snippets of the answers she gave:
Having her body criticized as a child:
When I did Good Times, they used to bind my chest because I was developing breasts at a young age It immediately makes you think, The way I am isnt good enough. They thought I was too heavy and that I needed to lose weight. When I look back at the show, I was your average-size kid.
The choice between acting and singing:
I have more of a passion for acting than I do singing, because singing comes so much easier to me. Acting is more of a challenge. I always say to people, Im really in the wrong business because I dont like being in front of huge crowds, and I dont like it when a lot of people are
looking at me.
Her view on Hollywood's obsseion with weight:
People tend to put entertainers on pedestals. Were human beings, just like you whether we have money or not, we still have bills to pay, we still have our stresses.
